Kevin McEwen is an award-winning educator, cultural folklorist, and performing arts leader whose work sits at the intersection of dance, education, and community empowerment. With nearly three decades of experience spanning the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa, Kevin has dedicated his career to transforming lives through the performing arts and cultural education.
As the Executive Director of the Kofago Institute and a Lecturer at Lehman College (CUNY), Kevin’s lectures, workshops, and keynote talks invite audiences to explore how art, identity, and education intersect to build bridges across the African Diaspora. His presentations blend academic insight, lived experience, and powerful storytelling — inspiring educators, artists, and organizations to embrace cultural literacy as a tool for social transformation.
